Harking back to those nostalgic college days of yesteryear, you most assuredly have been told time and time again; to be smart with your money. Thats’s right, thanks in large part to auction houses, rare whiskey’s have enjoyed record breaking sales in 2015, with expectations to surpass this year. Investment interests in such indices were primarily spurned from a burgeoning rare whisky collector market currently sweeping over Asia. Imagine this, if you will. A bottle of 1960 Karuizawa sold for $HK918,750 ($117,942 USD) at an auctioneer in Hong Kong, shattering the record for Japanese whiskey.
