Phasing out the G-Class SWB a few years back didn’t stop Brabus from unveiling the Mercedes-Benz G500 SWB 6.1 Widestar – a brand new upgrade model for the luxury three-door SUV. Choosing to work off the final version of the now defunct G500 BA3, the re-worked kit sports the Brabus signature imprint of the Widestar body frame as it sits on gorgeous 22-inch nine-spoke Monoblock E alloy wheels. Given the 6.1 classification, there is speculation of a sizable increase in power over the 388 hp and 391 lb-ft of torque from the original 5.5 liter V8.
Boasting a beautiful black and red leather interior in addition to the clean, sophisticated exterior design, many have questioned the reasoning behind the discontinuation of the G-Class SWB line. We’re beginning to wonder the same thing.
