Shaving razors have been based on the same concept for centuries now, but the game is about to change, with the upcoming release of the Skarp. This “Laser Razor” users a laser targeting specific chromophore in hair to cut it neatly and smoothly. It emits light only once contact is detected, therefore eliminating the need for blade replacement. It also doesn’t require any water, but can easily be used in the shower. Available in a black or silver finish, it’s made of aluminum and is powered by a AAA battery. The Kickstarter project hoping to bring the Skarp Laser Razor to life has raised over a million dollars.
