Natus Vincere is one of the most important esports organizations around. This Ukrainian outfit has been in operation since 2009, producing some of the finest team rosters and professional players in the world. Natus Vincere, or NAVI as it’s more commonly known, has multiple teams competing across many staples of the esports circuit. NAVI teams are among the top contenders in Fortnite, VALORANT, League of Legends, and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.
In 2022, NAVI added another team roster to its ever-expanding arsenal. NAVI Javelins are an all-female outfit based out of Poland. The team originally played as Totalne Gituwy, before being rebranded under the NAVI banner. Meet the NAVI Javelins
Despite the recent rebrand, the NAVI Javelins are building on their success as Totalne Gituwy. After qualifying for the ESL Impact League playoffs under their previous team name, they’ll now compete in the next stages as NAVI Javelins for the first time. The roster remains intact, although they’ve now been assigned Dawid Seifert as coach. Olha Novak has also been enlisted as team manager, meaning the NAVI Javelins have some solid support behind the scenes.
The playing roster of NAVI Javelins is particularly fierce. Karolina ‘Liina’ Kasprzyk retains her position as captain. With an impressive headshot percentage and experience playing on a range of maps, she’s a solid choice to steer her team toward glory. The rest of the NAVI Javelin roster includes Wiktoria ‘vicu’ Janicka, Danuta ‘Danuu’ Grajkowska, Hania ‘Hanka’ Pudlis, and Angelika ‘Angelka’ Kozlowksa.
What’s Next for the NAVI Javelins?
The 2022 ESL Impact League playoffs don’t kick off until June, but the NAVI Javelins stand as strong contenders to take home the trophy. This will be the first A-Tier venture for the all-female roster, although judging by their previous performance, it won’t be the last.
However, they’ll need to put in some serious practice to match the glory of other female teams dominating the professional CSGO circuit. A quick look over any CSGO matches website will show that the likes of Dignitas Female are reigning supreme. However, this team wasn’t always riding high. They failed to qualify for the playoffs at the inaugural Flashpoint series, before securing more impressive finishes at the DreamHack Summer Showdown and GIRLGAMER Esports Festival.
Other notable teams NAVI Javelins may be taking on in the future include Counter Logic Gaming Red. The CLG Red roster is one of the finest around, with the likes of Mounira Dobie considered one of the best female players on the planet. Less established teams like INTZ Female are also experiencing an upward swing in the rankings. This line-up only debuted in 2019, but since then they’ve made a name for themselves at events like the GIRLGAMER Esports Festival. In fact, in recent months, they’ve put their all-male counterparts to shame with continued success in their division.
