“There’s a sense of effortless grace and elegance, but at the same time something more contemporary and daring.” So says Giles Taylor, director of design about his latest creation, the Rolly Royce Wraith. The most potent and technologically advanced Rolls-Royce in history, the RRW was apparently inspired by Grand Tourers of the Fifties and Sixties. Not only are we all over its elegant sloping lines and luxe-vintage feel, the Wraith comes complete with a 624bhp V12 engine that makes it good for a 0-60mph time of just 4.4sec. That’s some seriously sexy speed.
It’s interior embodies a “classical approach” but uses modern materials, with open-pore (rather than gloss-finish) wood and a minimalist, sculptural look. The door panels are composed largely of light wood panelling. It’s two-tone paint combo looks pretty slick too and you can personalise the colours to your own taste. Bespoke style and speed: what’s not to love?
