Some of you may have noticed our recent ramp up in coverage of various home security systems. With an alarming rise of low-life scum bags that make a living in taking what the rest of us work so hard to purchase for ourselves, it only seemed logical to alert you of the brand new K5 Security Guard Robot. Brought to you by Knightscope, the 5-ft tall robot is armed and capable of doing virtually anything a real-life human guard can do – except for maybe scarfing down a box full of donuts (sorry, I just had too).
The security droid comes equipped with multiples cameras, microphones, and environmental radars, heck, it can even detect fires and gas leaks. When hooked up to Wi-Fi, it can also notify its user of any “questionable” findings and even allow you to speak through it. If anyone with enough gusto tries their hand at disarming it, an alam will sound. Gold luck with that.
