Wooden and waterproof – two words not typically known to associate with one another. However, the fine folks over at Pacific Standard Time Co. had this ingenious idea to craft watches using materials from various regions around the largest body of water in the world — the Pacific Ocean. Makes sense, right? With that said, check out the first and only wooden waterproof watch, capable of withstanding up to 100 meters in depth.
In terms of external body options we have; Koa and Milo. Koa, a precious wood native to Hawaii, meaning “Brave, Bold and Fearless”, was originally used to create weapons and canoes. Milo, on the other hand, was only offered to high ranking Hawaiian Chiefs for forging furniture, canoes, paddles and bowls. The perfect amalgamation of form and function, these dapper wrist wear accessories brings the essence of the islands into each and every timepiece.
